What a pleasure it is to converse with

folks who love to treasure hunt!

There's a kinship among those who seek the unique and unusual

and surround themselves with

  repurposed

items!

A delightful gray- blue highboy went home with a sweet bevelled mirror . . . 

what a room they'll make together.

Lamps and rugs and books and tables and planters and frames and cozy chairs,

OH MY!

A fantastic European wooden,

  rolling bakery display cart

arrived this afternoon!

It won't last for long . . . 

it's perfect for display

for storage and organization

for books or art supplies . . . 

And so much more ....

Benches and display steps and chairs and little tables and chalkboards

and silver and birds nests and twine and ironstone

and lamps and baskets . . .

Happy Sunday

to all my dear ones

I spent the morning at church,

after

picking up 15 elderly friends

 on our access a ride bus

and

they are precious!

They make my Sundays

extra

extra

 special!

Despite frailties,

 and limitations imposed by age,

and aches and pains,

wheelchairs

walkers,

canes,

and all those things that 

slow us down,

they're happy and smiling and have hugs to share!

You've got to learn from these folks

that some things in life are

important . . . 

but most of the things we fret about

and struggle to achieve

are

just

not 

that big

a 

deal

God is sooo good!

July Fourth Celebration

 Fourth of July

Weekend

My birthday is July 6th.

When I was little, my mother would promise that we would have 

FIREWORKS

for my birthday!

I truly thought those fireworks were in my honor!

I don't know how many years she got away with that . . . 

OK, so I was a little naive

and truly,

did I care???

There were millions of people in the park, and they were all celebrating 

ME

I was thrilled and delighted!

The fireworks were so big and bright and beautiful

and I was so happy!

We'd take a blanket and lie back and stare up at the sky . . . 

We packed a picnic basket of treats

and there were Popsicles

and lemonade
and peanuts in the shells

and patriotic music

life was very, very good!

July 4th was the "kickoff" to my birthday . . .

What a way to enjoy being a kid!

Happy Fourth!

Surprise

Taught bible study this morning

 as I do each Wednesday morning,

and found that the message was meant

just for me . . .

Why is that a surprise???

I love my bible study ladies! 

Rainy Days and Mondays

Rained all night, waking me twice

claps of thunder with lightening

The yard was waterlogged this morning, 

squishy

Temperature was at 43 degrees when I went out at 6:30am

sprinkles all day

off and on

my toes are cold

fixing a big ole cup of cafe mocha

rearranging things here at home

I've been nesting

 and

 tweaking

enjoying my late afternoon

think I'll make some soup 

and break out a good book
